ION Project Updates

Winter 2025

Exciting Progress on Our Ionosphere Research!

We've made major strides toward per-satellite sTEC estimation and visualization using L5 GPS signals!

Latest Developments:

ÆTHERLink Prototype – Developed using an AD9361 SDR on a portable 10” homelab rack for ultimate field-study portability.

New GNSS Satellite Simulator – Built with MATLAB and IGS data this simulator paves the way for a real-time kinetic-ML satellite simulator to be used in conjunction with our ÆTHERLink hardware. Be on the lookout for details in our next major publication

Innovative HCI Work – Investigating how to make sTEC accessible to end users in real-time with visualization via a phone app.

Next Steps? AI-driven noise correction & resilience testing for aerospace applications! Stay tuned!
